What is the move-in process?
Uniq conducts a comprehensive assessment to understand your specific needs and strengths. We collaborate with your healthcare professionals to develop a tailored support plan. Once funding is approved, we allocate a suitable property.

Our team provides dedicated support throughout the moving process, including coordinating a multi-disciplinary meeting to create a personalised transition plan, which will involve visiting the property, area and meeting the team. We are committed to making your move as smooth as possible
Do I need to pay rent/bills?
Rent is typically covered by health and social care funding or through benefits. Bills are usually included in this. Staff can assist with benefits applications
What would I need to pay for?
Personal expenses; like food, toiletries, travel, hobbies, and household items. Benefits can help cover these costs.
What will the house look like?
Each house typically has a shared kitchen, lounge/dining room and garden. You will have your own bedroom; some properties have shared bathrooms others are ensuite.
What is the move-out process?
If you wish to move, it requires discussion and agreement with your support team and is subject to assessment of your best interests.
Can friends and family visit?
Yes, with prior arrangement. Daytime visits are welcome, but overnight stays are not permitted. Under 18’s will be based on an individual need’s basis.
Am I able to go on holiday or stay elsewhere?
Yes, with advance planning. Staff can assist with arrangements.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are generally not allowed in shared or rented accommodations. Exceptions might apply for homeowners.
Can I smoke?
Smoking is permitted, outdoors only.
Is there WiFi?
Yes, WiFi is available in all properties.
